FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the prices of Australian weddings?

You can find our prices on the weddings page, ranging from $150 - $1000+

When can I get married in Australia?

You can get married 1 month after the first piece of paperwork called the "Notice of Intended Marriage". This is the legally required timeline for every wedding and celebrant, unless we apply to the court for a shortening of time.

Is there a lot of paperwork for marriages in Australia?

I complete all the legal paperwork for you after asking a few questions and seeing your ID documents. You will be required to provide a photo ID and proof of your place of birth. Passports are the easiest ID documents as the cover both requirements. However, many couples provide a birth certificate and a drivers license.

How do we book you for our wedding?

Visit the contact page or simply send me an email at lewis@aussieweddings.au let me know the date, what style of wedding, and we'll plan a short zoom call to start planning! A 20% booking fee secures your date. The remaining 80% is paid anytime prior to the Ceremony.

Do you travel interstate?

We travel Australia wide and across the world. Our local area includes the Central Coast, Hunter, Sydney and Newcastle regions in NSW.

What is a Legals Only marriage?

A legals only wedding is the easiest way to get married! It is incredibly quick and easy. Some people do a 'courthouse wedding' at the registry, but our services are better value and more personal.

Can you emcee our reception?

Absolutely! I also offer other services like photography, videography, video guest books, and elopement planning. I can also recommend other vendors.

Can our friend conduct the ceremony?

I offer the ability to coach anybody to run your ceremony, as I am able to complete the legal elements. This is an extra cost, to ensure your friend says the right things! It's often called a 'co-pilot wedding'.
